Marijuana and art have always held each other close, being such an amazing medium to express creativity. Letting the brush fly, or mouse race around on photoshop accompanied by mary jane is a different experience. No wonder High Art by Juxtapoz and Natural Cannabis Company has grown every year in participants and accolades.

Hailing out of California, Natural Cannabis Co. has worked hard to make High Art bigger than they could have imagined.

The fourth-year since its birth High Art by Juxtapoz is showcasing the “Psychedelia” side of cannabis.

Submissions come from every corner of the world to wow judges and win a chance to be a featured artist for Natural Cannabis Company. With stunning artwork from artists in a rare competition of varying styles.

This year included a separate category for film and photography. Introducing expanded avenues participants used in masses to showcase their submissions.

MarijunArt is Real

The notion pot makes your creativity boom and turn you in to a modern day Dali has been around for ages. It’s apparent the creative legends of our present and past times were directly linked with cannabis use. Scientific research shows that joint does really make you more creative.

Cannabinoids increase the hyper-priming in your brain. This hyper-priming is what makes our thought patterns connect two distant thoughts and link them together.

What inventors would call that “eureka” moment. With the increase in hyper-priming we can use the whole picture and express it in a finite way.

With more and more recreational marijuana use through out the word it’s a positive sign art will be a prevalent figure in main stream culture again.

There’s Always Next Year

It’s too late to make an entry this year, unfortunately, but don’t worry 2018 will see a Juxtapoz High Art. What you can do is go peep all the participants that have made named finalists. I’d hate to be the one to have to pick a loser between all those pieces of mind-bending art.
